File and take action without leaving Inkle

State Compliance isn't just for tracking. You can start and complete most state filings and service requests directly from Inkle. There are two ways in: act on a specific state from its page, or open the full services menu with Order a service.

File a deadline that's due

Wherever a filing is due, there's a way to file it on the spot:

• On the dashboard, the Next deadline tile has a File now shortcut, and each state's Action column has Start filing
• On a state's page, the banner at the top has File now, and each item in the State Compliance section has its own Start filing button

Select Start filing and Inkle begins that filing, an overdue annual report or Statement of Information for example, using the entity details it already has. You review anything outstanding, approve, and Inkle's team files it with the state.

Set up a registration from a state's page

Open a state and in the Registrations section, any registration that still needs action shows two buttons:

• Register: Inkle sets the registration up for you (foreign qualification, payroll, and so on)
• Already registered?: you've done it yourself. Enter your existing details so Inkle can track the deadlines

Order a service

For anything beyond a routine filing, select Order a service at the top right of a state's page. The menu groups every service Inkle can handle for that state:

Register and set up:

• Foreign Qualification: register your entity to legally operate, hire, or do business in a state outside your home state
• Registered Agent: appoint Inkle as your registered agent to receive official state and legal correspondence on your behalf
• Payroll Tax Registration: set up state withholding and unemployment insurance accounts before running your first in-state payroll

Prove standing:

• Good Standing Certificate: obtain an official certificate confirming your entity is active and compliant with state requirements

Fix and resolve:

• Reinstatement / Revival: restore an entity that's been suspended or dissolved back to active good standing
• Amendment: file a formal update to change your registered address, agent, officers, directors, or other entity details

Wind down:

• Withdrawal / Dissolution: formally withdraw your entity from a state, or dissolve it entirely and close out all outstanding obligations

Select a service to start the request. Inkle takes it from there and keeps the state's status updated as it progresses.

Quick Actions on the dashboard

The Quick Actions cards at the bottom of the main State Compliance page are shortcuts to the most common services: Register in a new state, Good Standing Certificate, Resolve a state notice, and Fix or revive an entity. Resolve a state notice lets you upload correspondence you've received from a state authority for Inkle to review and advise on next steps.

Move your registered agent to Inkle

If a state isn't yet using Inkle as its registered agent, you can hand it over so state mail and official notices land in one place, with automatic deadline tracking and consolidated notices. Two ways in:

• From the dashboard: select Move to Inkle on that state's row. This opens your cart with the registered agent service already added. Complete the payment and Inkle takes over
• From a state's page: use the Move to Inkle RA panel on the right and select Transfer now

What Inkle handles, and what needs you

Inkle prepares and submits each filing and service. Your part is to supply any missing information and give final approval before anything is filed, so you're never completing a state website on your own. Where a state is waiting on a detail, the Missing information card shows exactly what to provide.
